Critical thinking and problem solving play an essential role in almost all aspects of our personal and professional lives. From infusing rationality into our relationships to intelligently arguing a business proposal for key decision-makers, we're all involved in critical analysis of communication every day.
The objectives of the critical thinking program are to examine and develop critical skills in argument organization and structuring, modes of analysis and criticism, active listening, tests of logic and recognizing fallacies, and to examine, compare and contrast various types of logical reasoning as it pertains to organizational discourse.
This program focuses on three dimensions of critical analysis of communication:
Information-processing and analysis in organizational discourse
Argument generation and logical reasoning from critical analysis
Argument construction and presentation in the various contexts of organizational communication
